Building Capacity At All Levels
MNCH2 collaborated with local partners to build essential components of the national health system and increase the capacity of individuals, organizations, and systems through online and classroom training, degree programs, on-the-job coaching, and resource sharing.

INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY
MNCH2 helped 10 staff from the MoPH Health Economics and Financing Directorate (HEFD) to complete their master's degree in health economics. The graduates are the first health economists in the country. Also, as a result of HPP's in-service training and on-the-job guidance, they are improving the efficiency and financial sustainability of Afghanistan's health systems by conducting cost studies and other assessments, analyzing data, and promoting policy to address the findings.
